Research is a particular focus of the BG clinics. The clinics initiate important studies or participate in other major studies. With exceptional ideas and a good sense of what is achievable, the doctors contribute to new developments in medical technology. The establishments of the professional associations can proudly refer to an impressive number of scientific publications in leading journals.
Much of the independent research work, which is performed in cooperation with renowned institutions at home and abroad and in research projects with the support of the European Union, leads to new findings. The Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) has recognised the research achievements and provides funding for research projects in the BG clinics. One research idea was honoured with the Innovation Award for the Promotion of Medical Technology of the BMBF.
Numerous other awards - including at international level - confirm the scientific achievements. This medical progress is implemented immediately in the daily work of the BG clinics.
Lectures for interested patients and relatives at the respective locations are very popular and fix the clinics firmly in the public consciousness.
